Truth In Savings

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL ACCOUNTS:

Par value of a share. The par value of a share is $5.00.

Bylaw requirements.  You must complete payment of one share(s) into your share savings account(s) as a condition of admission to membership. A member who withdraws all of the member’s shareholdings shall thereby cease to be a member of the credit union and shall be ineligible to hold any other form of investment in the credit union. Any person whose membership terminates under this section may be readmitted to membership, at the discretion of the Board or its delegates, by purchasing at least one (1) share.

National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. This credit union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration.

Additional Terms. The following additional terms apply to this account: Any P.O.D. or joint account survivorship feature of this account shall apply without regard to any requirement to survive an event by any specified period.

Dividends. The dividend rate for accounts is determined at the discretion of the board of directors. The dividend rate(s) and annual percentage yield(s) are accurate as of January 24, 2023.   The dividend rate and annual percentage yield may change at any time.

Nature of dividends. If applicable, dividends are paid from current income and available earnings, after required transfers to reserves at the end of a dividend period.

Compounding frequency. If applicable, dividends will be compounded monthly.

Crediting frequency. If applicable, dividends will be credited monthly.

Dividend period. The dividend period is monthly. For example, the beginning date of the first dividend period of the calendar year is January 1 and the ending date of such dividend period is January 31. All other dividend periods follow this same pattern of dates. The dividend declaration date follows the ending date of a dividend period, and for the example above is January 31.

Effect of closing an account. If you close your account before dividends are paid, you will not receive the accrued dividends.

Average daily balance computation method. Dividends are calculated by the daily balance method which applies a daily periodic rate to the balance in the account each day. The average daily balance is calculated by adding the balance in the account for each day of the period and dividing that figure by the number of days in the period. The period we use to make this calculation is monthly.

Accrual of dividends on noncash deposits. Dividends will begin to accrue no later than the business day we receive credit for the placement of noncash items (for example, checks) into your account.
